Half A Year

Time has this ability to have us experience so much that it passes as quickly as it came. You think you are holding a moment in your hands only to have it slip through your fingers within its grasp. I can't begin to say how much has taken place in these past 6 months.

From leaving familiarity in Malaysia to feeling more at home in Australia, from subjecting myself to poor quality education to being overwhelmed and awed by the excellence in my studies here. From carelessly eating a whole bar of chocolate in one seating and grudgingly performing a set of lunges to actually and unbelievably leading a healthier and more active lifestyle than I ever did and thought I could before. On the note of leading a healthy lifestyle: EVERYONE CAN DO IT. I'll probably use another post to expound on that. From an old creation to a new creation in Christ, it's amazing to see how much 6 months can do to a person. Below is a summary of my past 6 months.

JUNE 2016

A reflection on the past 6 months and goals to achieve in the next few months J

1.      God’s grace upon my life as He continues to renew my mind and sanctify me every day. His evident provision and favour upon me is undeserving for the likes of me. Thus, I will continue to rely on His grace to follow Him.
2.      Adjustment to a foreign land has been wonderful. Every day being here is a blessing and the challenges that come my way is forging me into a stronger person.
3.      The desire to lead a healthy lifestyle and not look back. One of the best decisions I've made!
4.      Academic excellence and the opportunity to study in JMC. A true miracle that I will not take for granted.
5.      People that I am meeting and coming to know and my loved ones back at home
6.       A JOB after so many closed doors and tears of despondency
7.      Being independent and embracing the freedom & responsibilities (Not a cliche because responsibilities and priorities are real. And so is the taste of freedom)
8.      5 years with my best friend & love.
9.      ALL THE BLESSINGS AND LESSONS THAT HAVE COME MY WAY.

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”- 1st Thessalonians 5:18

I didn't add this in my list above but one of it is also being able to experience Summer, Autumn and Winter! It's so new to me.

This is taken from my personal reflection. There's so much to elaborate on but I think I'll just come to the gist of it.

I am truly thankful for everyday of my life. It is a miracle no matter how horrible I might feel at certain moments. In everything, be grateful and not take anything for granted.

Here's to the next half of 2016

This image reminds me of all the joy I felt that day having met someone for the first time and setting of on a spontaneous trip to Wellington Point. It opened my eyes to the uniqueness and individuality of people and the exhilaration of doing something that is out of my ordinary. Wearing a skirt is not common for me as well!
